With construction now underway, the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley ranks among the largest industrial projects being built in Spain today
Currently under construction, the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley is Spain’s largest renewable hydrogen project and one of the most ambitious in Europe. Once operational, it will avoid six million metric tons of CO₂ emissions per year.
Two production centers, one commitment
Moeve is developing the Valley at two sites: Palos de la Frontera, Huelva, and San Roque, Cádiz. Together they will have 2 GW of electrolyzer capacity and will be able to produce up to 300,000 metric tons of renewable hydrogen a year in Andalusia.
As part of the project’s first phase, work is progressing on the Huelva plant, located near Moeve’s La Rábida Energy Park. When the future Campo de Gibraltar facility is complete, the two plants will form the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, one of Europe’s most ambitious renewable hydrogen initiatives.
